General characteristics
Dolomites are gray, cryptocrystalline, strong, sometimes fractured, unevenly weathered. The content of CaO ranges from 29.0 to 31%, MgO from 18.0 to 21.0%, SiO2 from 0.8 to 2.6%, AI2O3 from 0.2 to 0.6%, Fe2O3 - from 0.2 to 0.5%, TiO2 from 0.01 to 0.03%, MnO from 0.02 to 8%, K2O from 0.1 to 0.2%, Na2O from 0.05 up to 0.15%, SO3 - from 0.12 to 0.90%. The density of dolomites varies from 2.61 to 2.87 (average 2.8) g / cm3, the bulk density is from 2.27 to 2.75 (average 2.54) g / cm3, the porosity is from 1.44 to 20 , 07 (average 9.15)%, water absorption - from 0.41 to 5.48 (average 2.17)%, resistance to uniaxial compression varies from 522 to 1067 kg / cm2. The dolomites and overburden are flooded. The estimated reserves are 2631 million tons. Depth varies from 61.8 to 36.0 m, the power ranges from 61.8 to 79.8 m. Additional studies are needed to prepare for industrial development.
