Project description
"Svetlogorsk Pulp and Paperboard Mill" is the only enterprise in the Republic with a full cycle of processing of wood raw materials and the largest enterprise of the pulp and paper industry of the Republic of Belarus, the main products of which are corrugated cardboard and containers made of it.
Date of state registration: 17.07.1996.
Location of the enterprise: Gomel region, Svetlogorsk, Zavodskaya street, 1.
In order to meet the needs of paper mills of the republic in bleached sulphate pulp, to expand the range of products, as well as taking into account the availability of raw materials, the mill implemented a large investment project "Construction of a plant for the production of bleached sulphate pulp on the basis of JSC "Svetlogorsk CCPK" with a capacity of 400 thousand tons per year".
On 28.12.2018 the plant was put into pilot operation.
As a result of the project implementation there was an increase in the volume of processing of balance wood (pine and spruce) into pulp, which allows to reduce the export of cheap raw materials and increase the output of products with high added value. These products are in demand in domestic and foreign markets and are intended for import substitution of the main fiber semi-finished products for the pulp and paper industry of the republic.
